Suffering definition: the state of undergoing pain, distress, or hardship.
God created the Kingdom of Heaven, and the Kingdom IS Joy. We have not left Gods Kingdom, for we are eternally and for always His Children and at home in Him. Yet while being on earth, we identify with this earth as our home, our body as what we are and thus fall subject to its laws and its rules that always lead to pain. The only way to transcend this pain, is by realizing that God does NOT Will suffering in ANY capacity. In fact he Wills us perfect happiness. And if this is so, then we must take responsibility for our suffering and choose to change it. The first step in accepting responsibility for our suffering is realizing that responsibility is my POWER, its not blame. Neither you or any one else can be blamed for suffering, but you can be responsible for it, and thus have the POWER to change it.
Suffering does not happen TO us. We learn it through the conditioning of this world and from our upbringing. It is easy to accept the collective consciousness that tells us suffering is "normal" or struggle is "just the way that it is". But it is most definitely NOT normal! Again, God does NOT Will us suffering. Suffering is learned and becomes a mental conditioned pattern/ state of mind. Since it comes from the mind, ALL suffering can be UNLEARNED and we can embrace a CHANGE of mind. With this change of mind comes healing and the remembrance of what True normalcy is. But the first step is surely, to take responsibility for ALL our suffering and to admit that we fell for the collective conscious that believes that pain and conflict is natural here.
It doesn't matter if the suffering manifests itself as small frustration or extreme physical pain or intense mental confusion- we are still responsible for it and can pray for a miracle to it to take its place; for "there is no order of difficulty in miracles!!"
Since God has given us miracles to replace all suffering, this proves He does not will us to suffer. Therefore, if we are suffering in any capacity, we must remember that "I have done this unto myself". This is a powerful statement that will RELEASE us from suffering and fear once accepted as true for us. This thought is not meant to cause guilt, but the freedom FROM guilt. If we have done this (suffering of any kind) to ourselves, then we can change it!! This is a happy thought! Now there is HOPE and a way out of suffering entirely, for you and for all the world.
Practical Steps
When we are suffering even a little bit, we need help, and there is infinite help available for us. All we have to do is ASK for healing of our OWN minds, instead of pointing the finger and thinking some one or something else is responsible for our upset or pain.
If we feel we have prayed and asked for healing, and the suffering still continues, it is because a fear of being healed out-weighs the desire TO be healed.
We fear healing, because we think we will be losing something if we ask for what we really want (miracles ). The suffering state of mind always involves sacrifice and loss in some way. Thus the mind projects this onto healing, and fears that if we heal we will lose something as well.
Its crucial to know, that when we accept God's Healing for ourselves, that we don't lose anything. our illusions of our self, but we can't lose, what was never actually anything at all. These illusions are what brought us pain to begin with, as these illusions extend from a false perception of what we think we are.(vulnerable, unworthy, sick, small, this body and its appearance etc). This pain is a red light flashing over our false identity, telling us to focus on the pain, versus sinking deeper into "who we think we are" and "what is its original cause?" What ceases to be is
In some way or another we have asked for this pain, we believe in this false identity and we suffer. Thus we must inquire into what we are getting out of the pain because we MUST be getting something out of it if we are experiencing it. We can begin to inquire into this idea and be curious about this idea and when we are honest with ourselves we WILL see the old and false conclusions we made that became stuffed into our subconscious. Once its in our subconscious, what we THINK is hidden from our conscious awareness and so we respond unconsciously to what we once concluded to be true when younger. This means, in order to heal, we must be ready to ask ourselves some questions that perhaps we didn't have a chance to see or ask before.
Two powerful questions we must ask ourselves if we are suffering are:
"What is my payoff?"
"What am I getting out of it?"
We always get something out of what we experience, for this "false/separated self" is mighty concerned with GETTING things and focuses on the BODY. Whether we are getting attention, or lack there of. Whether we are getting the ability to feel "right" or "validated", to feel"safe" from other events taking place, to feel "powerful" or temporarily "loved/cared for".....all of these are goals of the mind that produce suffering. It is only when we unlock what our GOAL is, in regards TO suffering, that we can let it go to be replaced by God's Healing Grace.
If we sit with these questions, pray with these questions in mind, and become curious as to the answer; the answer will be shown to us! You will have a peek into your subconscious mind and what you locked away from yourself. In bringing this hidden thought TO light, you are much more able to let it go and be replaced BY light. But you have to be willing to SEE it and choose differently.
Remember that Jesus teaches us that freedom from ALL suffering can be had the instant we affirm and accept this as true for us:
“I AM responsible for what I see.
I chose the feelings I experience, and I decided on the goal I would achieve.
And everything that seems to happen to me
I asked for, and received as I had asked.” T 21.
If we blame another (or God or the body) for how we feel, we are choosing to be hurt. If we apply a spiritual concept to the suffering we experience instead of heal it, we are choosing to be hurt. The instant we take FULL responsibly for how we feel without sugar coating it, we can let the True Correctors of Perception (Jesus & Holy Spirit) into our heart and minds, and finally let our minds be healed!
Our job is to accept Gods Perfect Peace so no one and nothing in the world can effect our peace in any regard. We can only accept this peace however, when we let suffering go. Thus there is a true reason FOR healing, for what is beyond suffering is the perfect peace that God promises! When suffering is gone, it can be REPLACED by this peace. When we are beaming with God's Peace we are the GIVERS of His peace, and thus saviors of the world by giving his miracles that spawn FROM peace. If we are too busy either denying a brothers reality, or denying your own suffering, or thinking we cannot heal.....we are subjecting ourself to a live long experience OF pain. However, we truly do have the power to heal all sickness and all pain NOW. The pain is not happening TO us, we are doing it unto ourselves.
May we all realize that our POWER is in our responsibility. In being responsible we can inquire into our minds where the cause is, and let it be healed. We will then be active demonstrations in the world of HOW to heal, and HOW to accept a miracle in place of our illusions. Our healing is our salvation and the salvation of all the world depends on us. God Bless us all.
