We are ALL the prodigal Sons. We ran away from the kingdom, got trapped in the realm of form, buying, spending, trying to get ahead and fearfully going about our daily routines. In this state of mind, we have forgotten our true home. We have forgotten our Father loves us. The instant we give up trying to live life our own way, and turn around, back in towards Home; we find that our Father welcomes us. He celebrates in our home coming, and lavishes us with even more that we had when we thought we were alone. In this bond, of Father and Son, we are loved, and eternally free.
The instant we have exhausted our prodigal lifestyle, we can return home- where we remember that God Love us all, equally and eternally. We are HIS treasure. He reminds us that while we are here in form, we can not sin, or do anything wrong for God knows us ALREADY as forgiven and knows not of what we do here. Nor does he know of forgiveness, for He has never condemned. It is only us that have condemned and feel we have sinned, and this is why WE are in need forgiveness.

If we have yet to accept the truth that we are Gods Treasure, then we are the one in need of forgiveness and can ask for it completely, now. In asking for it, we slip back home into the heart of God and hear the soft whispers reminding us that "You are already forgiven, for there is nothing to forgive. You are innocent, and I love you."
Jesus is our brother, our equal and he is trying to remind us of our joint power with Him and God.
We have never left God, and we could never leave Him for He is in our Minds.
He has given us everything already and He WILL celebrate our home coming along with us.

"Listen to the story of the prodigal son, and learn what God’s treasure is and YOURS: This son of a loving father left his home and thought he squandered everything for nothing of any value, although he did not know its worthlessness at the time. He was ashamed to return to his father, because he thought he had hurt him. Yet when he came home, the father welcomed him with joy because only the son himself WAS his father’s treasure. He WANTED nothing else. God wants only His Son because His Son is His only treasure. " A Course in Miracles T-8
