Prayer is the medium of miracles.
A prayer does not have to be a long, drawn out divinely worded prayer. A prayer is truly an openness of the heart, to listen, to love and to receive.
This can be had all through out the day and in all honesty, should be practiced in order to become a habit of response. You can pray when you are walking to your car, when you get up in the morning, or at the grocery store, when you go for a walk or in a conversation, at work or with children. Prayer can literally be a daily experience as it happens in the quiet of our own mind. It happens through decision, focus and intent.
We are in continual communion with our Creator and our Creator knows exactly what we need before we even ask for it. Therefore, a prayer is more of a statement of gratitude to our Creator for being what we are and a knowing that he has already given us everything! In gratitude our prayer is heard, as it is a prayer of the heart.
If you are at a point in your life where you feel gratitude is lacking or you are unsure how to do that, then purification of the mind is a necessary step before true prayer can be given and received The way to purify the mind is through forgiveness. Forgiveness is an act of healing the mind, whereby the old way of using ones minds has been transformed and is now being used completely differently. Forgiveness helps shift the mind towards God, instead of away from it through a cleansing of perception. Forgiveness is a literal TOOL that can be used and applied to ones thinking as all error originates at the CAUSE which is in the mind. Thus all healing and forgiveness is FOR the mind. If you are not at peace, and you feel you need help.... ask to learn about forgiveness first and foremost. Ask to receive a reinterpretation of your current events, that you may see it in a totally new light. Ask to be most helpful to everyone involved and ask to be helpful to yourself by learning to forgive. Our life gives us lessons and these lessons bring what in our subconscious mind to the foreground, that we may look at it and heal it through forgiveness. So the past may be let go and be replaced BY the Truth about you. HOW to do forgiveness is not your concern. Only the willingness to forgive everything, one step at a time, is all that you need. We have an inner teacher to not only teach us to forgive, but to pray. I call this Teacher the Holy Spirit.
I have heard many times people say to me " but my prayers are never answered". I always have said in response "you must not be asking for what you really want then". God knows us as we ARE. He knows us as He Created us and NOT as we think that we are or what we have been taught that we are by others. When we communicate to Him from the perspective of "I am separate or I need this or God will never hear me, I am too guilty, save me from this, I have done too much, I am just this body/small little me, there are others who need it more etc" All of these beliefs are the conditioning that keeps us thinking that God is outside and different from us and thus is a justification as to "why you don't receive". Listen not to these thoughts that speak loud and first, they are NOT the truth about you or God. The Truth is that God have given everything to His Children already and we are lacking nothing. So when we pray in gratitude we are recognizing our relationship with Him and God will recognize the prayer of our Hearts to be with Him as well. This enables the bridge to be made between Creator and Created where communication, answered prayers and miracles are natural.
God always answers. We truly do have to let go of our ideas of HOW our prayer will be answered and let it come to us in a way that it is meant to. when we pray, and let the prayer go (literally forget about it) it will come back around to us in a way that is clear and you will understand. Patience and trust is integral here. If you put conditions or a time frame on your prayer, you will be keeping the prayers answer at arms reach and you will never recognize it from there. The answer rises forward from within you and it will illuminate your Mind in peace, understanding and deep deep gratitude for all that IS.. Trust that all that you need will be given you. If you do not have it yet, you do not really need it at this time. Trust that our Father loves His children, and refuses us nothing. WE are the ones learning HOW to pray and communicate with Him. We are used to talking to human minds, its a whole other ball game learning to talk to the Mind of God, but it can and must be done by ALL humans on earth at one point or another.
God only serves the greater good of ALL and so He keeps ALL his children in Mind. If you think that something has not been given you, or answered, or helped.... it is because you are asking for things for yourself alone and expecting them to come in a way you think they should arrive. Let go of your ideas of how, or what or when. Let go even of what you think you need to pray for. These questions and ideas distract us from the Truth that we are Gods Children and could never be separate from Him.
We can learn to listen to His Voice, that speaks of an all-inclusive Love; by remembering that ego speaks first and listen not to that loud judgmental voice. Instead listen deeper, to the quiet call of an ancient melody replaying for us to hear and to welcome into our hearts as the answer to our prayers. It is reminding us of our home, our happiness, our purpose here. We are learning to Listen to the wisdom of this indwelling guide of reason and of love.
Be patient with yourself and trust the process of learning to ask(pray) correctly and to receive. xoxo
