I have always had a strong passion to re-define education. The inspiration that began our many projects was through the recognition that the educational system needed to shift from that of inundating children with "information" that the schools believe we should know; onto focusing on each child's individual learning ability and genius, enabling them to learn what their heart and soul is calling to learn- and support THAT.
We need children who are passionate about what they are learning, and find their purpose here in this world to fulfill... instead of a bunch of children who rebel against the system only to be forced into a business-like-job to make money. There is a big shift that must take place, and this shift begins with each of us individually. And we can teach that and help foster that in our children through education.
There is a mother whose name is Kristine Barnett who raised an autistic son, and she says: "Instead of following conventional ways of therapy/education, focus on what that individual child needs. Listen to them, listen to your heart." Kristine and her family, are currently living in Ontario Canada with her family, and decided many years ago now that she was going to teach her autistic son and encourage her son to learn what he is GOOD at instead of what he struggles with. This approach is opposite from what the system and professionals were doing themselves with her son, and encouraging her to do.

The main protocol for "teaching" these children, is to force them to learn 40-60 hours a week what they are NOT good at in order to make them better in those areas. It is a struggle, and difficult and not fun for parent, child or educator. The instant Kristine focused on what her son, Jacob, LOVES and IS good at, she began to notice an immediate change in his behavior and patterns of thought. Even though the doctors told them once her son stopped speaking at the age of 2 that he would never speak again, within a few short years of changing her educational approach and focus on "who her son is and what he is capable of" he began to speak fluently. Not only was he able to speak again, but he began to THRIVE in physics and mathematics and is now studying at the University of Waterloo at the young age of 15. He is also said to be on his way already to win a Nobel Peace Prize and has an IQ said to be greater than that of Einstein! If this mother did not follow her own heart and inner guidance, Jacob would not have followed his own, and he would also not be contributing positively to humanity in the way he is now.
Jacob is now clearly happy, communicative, and a demonstration for all other children. After the much success with Jacob, Kristine began a school for other autistic children. She soon had over 200 kids and ALL of them benefited and excelled from this new approach to education. A focus on what they are GOOD at versus what they are NOT good at and a focus on how well they are DOING versus what they are struggling with. These children transformed. Not only was this method helpful to those who had supposed "learning disabilities" but any other child who adopted this method of learning, including Kristine's other children, were tapping into their own inner genius, finding what they love and exploding with wisdom in a specific area where they could make a HUGE difference for the BETTERMENT of all humanity.
This is incredible to see this demonstration and to allow us to have a new view of these autistic or "learning disabled" children. Its not THEM that have the problem, but those who are teaching them that need to re-learn how to teach them. This mother even said "We can only learn up to where our greatest teacher has learned." She pointed out that if she were to teach her son how to do physics, he would have stopped learning well before chemistry for that is where she is..... and yet, she said, when you allow them to tap into and learn from their own inner teacher, then they can learn to reach their highest and greatest potential here! The genius is ALREADY within, it just has to be brought forward!!!
